Who are you – Vuestar?

VUESTAR Technologies is the Licensee for worldwide distribution of the RNT VUESTAR TM and Smart Soft TM Systems and technologies.

Why are you invoicing me?

You have accessed the VUESTAR , Vue Smart System by clicking, scrolling or streaming over a Visual Image to connect with a website or web page.

Why do I need a User Licence?

You need a user licence to give you the lawful right for a year in the Republic of Singapore to use the VUESTAR patented technologies to use visual images to access or connect at speed/hyperlink to websites and/or web pages.

Is the User Licence Limited?

Yes it is non-exclusive, so many people can have the benefit of it and restricted to the territory of Singapore for one calendar year from the date you enter into the User Licence.

Do I need a Licence for each web page?

No only one Licence per territory for each website. However you will require a Licence for each domain name

My web page uses visual images am I the only one paying the Licence?

No. You are required to have a License, as is your Internet Service provider, your Telco whose phones connected to the web and anybody else contributing to the use of  the patent. All search engine portals and web sites that have search facilities and images will require separate Licenses.

My site has no images only text?

If your site is only text and has no images, icons or other patent methods then no license required.

Where do I find the Patent(s)?

The Republic of Singapore Patent No. 95940 is registered at IPOS from Year 2003, its application/grant date.  See IPOS website.  Other VUESTAR Patents are registered in Australia, New Zealand and USA.

Is there any Prior Art?

RN Technologies, Ron Langford the inventor filed the Original Patent in 2000 not in any way relying on or offending any third parties’ prior art.  All Patent examiners investigations cleared, R Langford and the VUESTAR Technologies for clean patent registration.

What happens if I don’t pay?

You will not be granted the VUESTAR User Licence and will be unable lawfully to use visual images to access the worldwide web.  Our collection agencies will recover unpaid fees.

What if I still use visual images to access sites/content?

Having been provided with proper notice of VUESTAR ’s rights, you will be deemed to have entered into a user Licence and be liable for a fee each year based upon usage/traffic.  Our collection agency will recover any annual unpaid fees.

Is this a Product or a Licence?

This is a Licence (User Licence) to use the VUESTAR System ™ on terms.  It is not a product, shrink wrapped or otherwise - it is a patented method or system.

Is the Licence Transferable?

No.  It is peculiar to and specifically addressed to you as a Recipient/User.

In what jurisdiction is this Licence applicable?

The Republic of Singapore.

How do I know I am using your Patent(s)?

Our search agents have identified your usage and a print out is available from our help desk at VUESTAR Head Office in Singapore.

I do not have a search capability, why do I have to pay?

Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) has entitled you to conduct your and others viewing.  They will also have to take up a licence because they are causing or contributing to your use of the VUESTAR System (TM) and using our patented technology.

What are Visual Images?

Icons, logos, brand names, photos, signatures, animations, graphics and other likeliness used or capable of being used to identify, isolate, promote, educate, market or otherwise exploit in commerce or otherwise visual images.

My site is worldwide, will I need licences for other territories?

Yes.  Vuestar licences territory by territory – VUESTAR System ™.

Can I negotiate a worldwide licence?

Yes.  This will reflect traffic/usage as reported by our Search Agents.  Please contact our HQ.

What other Patents does Vuestar have?

We have registered Patents in Australia, Singapore, USA and New Zealand for web access via visual images and security/authorization of Images/file(s) in all those territories.  The USA sibling patents are due for registration in 2007 – 2009.

Will I be billed for prior/earlier usage?

No.  This is a marketing concession being afforded to you by Vuestar in utmost good faith, provided, of course, you enter into the User Licence by consent.
 

I am a government site.  Am I exempted?

Concessions are available.   Please contact VUESTAR HQ.  A licence to protect our own and your own prospective rights will be necessary.

I am a Charity.  Am I exempted?

See above.

How is the licence fee calculated?

By reference to usage, traffic and the extent to which and how often you or others view visual images to connect/hyperlink to websites, web pages or parts thereof.

When does the licence expire?

One (1) calendar year from the date you accept the terms of it by accepting it, or one (1) calendar year from the date you are deemed to have entered into the user licence by continuing to use visual images to access the worldwide web.
